Established in 1919
In 2010 the brewery is acquired by André Pecqueur the owner of the Brasserie de Saint-Omer and the Brasseurs de Gayant and the Brasserie Grain d’Orge merge. In 2016 the Brasseurs de Gayant move to Arques to a brand new modern factory, at the forefront of technology. It’s the birth of the Goudale brewery.

75cl bottle @ the in-laws, Eecke. Thanks Eric. Pours a generally clear gold, good white head. Aroma of fresh cereal malt, blonde yeast. Tasting markedly better than standard Goudale, quite fresh tasting, nice yeasty blonde profile. Quite like it.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear straw colour with no head. Aroma of grass, mineral, sulfur, green apples and sweet corn. Flavour of sweet corn, grass and some hay and white bread. Has a light and watery mouth feel, light body and a soft bitterness. Very light but relatively tasteful.

Loose off white head on a still brown coloured body.
Malt & toffee aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth & creamy with sticky back.
Toffee, malt, demerara & berry taste with tangy fruity finish.
Nice drinker.

500 ml can, as La Goudale Rubis Fruits Rouges, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5%. Deep red colour, moderate pink to purple head. Intense aroma of raspberries and hibiscus. The flavour is not as sweet as I feared, but has distinct notes of fresh red berries (particularly raspberries) and hibiscus. Low bitterness.

A hazy golden colour, no head. Aroma of sweet juicy lemonade, some old hops. Taste of intense sweet citrus lemonade, sugar, no beer flavour.

Zesty, malt & digestive biscuit aroma.
Medium bodied, sharp dry & clean.

Bottle at home, dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is sweet, malt, caramel, fruit. Taste is the same, sweet, malt, caramel, fruit. not bad.

Bottle. Color: Clear amber to copper, off-white head. Aroma: Malty, coriander, some caramel. Taste: Malty, sweetish, some Barley malt, bit sugary, notes of coriander and orange peel. Medium body, average carbonation. Over moderate to medium sweet, moderate hopbitterness. Ok overall.
