250ml bottle. Opalescent, dark amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mellow, minimally toasty-nutty, malty and minimally phenolic, yeasty fruity aroma, hints of dried fruit, sultana, plum, fig, a touch of chestnut. Taste is slightly sugary sweet, caramel malty and slightly yeasty fruity, a touch of malt lozenge, rock sugar, hints of raisin.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation.
Some subtleties in the aroma, but quite sweet and sugary taste - not really convincing.
