Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate malt notes with some vanilla and coconut notes with some almond-like flavours also noticeable. Taste is a mix of sweet chocolate malt notes with some vanilla and coconut notes with almont-like notes with some residual sugar notes. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable dessert-like stout with nice Amaretto notes.

330ml can via Beer52 and drank in my garden on 5th July 2026. 1st Mexican beer before the match (World Cup, Mexico v England). This was a very pleasant dark lager and a lot better than I expected.

[33cl can from Beer52, brewed for them in the EU.]A peaty brown coloured pour with a thick beige head; malty aroma; long lasting bitter taste from the dark roasted malts and a touch of smooth chocolate.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate malt notes with maple notes and orange notes clearly identifiable. Taste is also a mix of chocolate malt notes with some residual sugar notes from the maple and some orange notes. Body is about average with good carbonation with limited discernible alcohol notes. Good pastry stout but I am not a fan of mixing orange and chocolate notes together.

On tap at Drunken Dog, pours black with a large beige head. Aroma has some crunchy earthiness, toasted bread, and a hint of roast. Flavour is dry, with plenty of earthiness and toasted bread. There’s the subtlest of tartness in there, which can’t be right. Lacking malt depth even for the style. Decent.

On tap at Drunken Dog, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has some gentle spicy Saaz, straw, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has a nice spicy Saaz hop kick, crisp crackery malt, and some straw. A little timid on the hops, but has good structure. Pleasant.

On tap at Drunkendog Condesa. Pours clear golden blonde with a white head. Cracker malts and some notes of spicy dry grass on the nose. Flavour has biscuit malts and some spicy dry grass. Not bad, wish there was more Saaz though.

On tap at Drunkendog Condesa. Pours black with a beige head. Dry roasted malts on the nose. Flavour has dry roasted malts, a gentle nuttiness, and a slight tang on the finish. It's okay, something here tastes a bit off.
