A light haze on this amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, a mild dryness, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Light smooth malts, a soft and mild creamy sweetness with a whisper of caramel. The unnamed English hops bring soft pine and a typical smorgasbord of orchard fruits and all sorts, tightly bound together. Traces of citrus peel and apricot bubble to the surface. Airy and mildly crisp finish. Goes down very easy. From the label, these guys are keen on English hops, so a brewery I will look out for.

On tap at That Beer Place, Chester. Pours strongly hazy straw with minimal almost white head. The aroma is quite sweet with prominent citrus and lemon. In the mouth it is stabbingly sharp with lemon the main flavour. There’s also herbal greenery, grapes and gooseberries with hints of kiwi and lime later on. Finish is somewhat sticky. This is decent – though not my type of beer at all.

Cask at the Cock Tavern, Hackney on 5th July 2026. Almost clear gold with shallow foam that evaporates without lace. Zest on malt in aroma. Rich zesty citrus and nutty maltiness in-mouth, and a finish of earthy notes and tangy fruits. Medium bodied with a velvet smooth texture. Very pleasant.

On tap at The Green Goddess, Blackheath Royal Standard. Nose is lemongrass, white grape, gooseberry jam, lime. Soft lemon flavours, whack of white grape, kiwifruit & lime. Spicy herby tangy bitter citrus malarkey. Quite smooth.

Cask at Whitlock's Ale House, Leeds. Clear copper gold. Foamy white head. Aroma had light sweet fruit with a sour edge. Underlying grains. Flavourwise it's gpt a tart edge to very sweet core. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Just didn't do it for me.
