Crocadon Farm, Saltash, PL12 6RL, England
Description
Ideal Day Family Brewery are focused on three things: family (it’s in the name), beer (also, kind of in the name) and regenerative agriculture (bet you didn’t see that one coming). We are based in the Tamar Valley in Cornwall which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our brewery is on Crocadon Farm near Saltash.
We make beers focused on where our ingredients, especially our grain, comes from and how it was farmed. Our brewing inspiration comes from Belgium farmhouse traditions, classic British beers and modern innovation. It’s what we love doing. We strive to create tasty beers while supporting farmers who are saving our soils and ecosystems with regenerative agriculture.

Third of a pint, hand pulled in the Boot on 9th June 2026. Pale body, wispy white head. Decent enough orchard fruit nose and taste, light bitterness.

27/5/2026. Bottle shared by LazyPyro, cheers Chris! Pours okay. It’s very zesty, citrusy, grapefruit, yeasty, satsuma, grassy, touch herbal. Moderate sweetness, with some nice bitterness coming through. Lacked a bit of body. Otherwise well done.

Cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Dark brown, a little translucent with a decent-sized tan head. Aroma is overwhelmingly of liquorice and blackberry jam. Sweet taste, a little tobacco in here along with the liquorice and berry, fading quickly to bitterness. Light to medium body, no carbonation to speak of. It is okay.

Not bad, has a real rustic, rough round the edges vibe to it. Some husky grains, grass, dried citrus peel, pine needles, moderate bitterness, fairly low sweetness. Drinks pretty well.

500ml bottle. Hazy golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of grainy malts, peppery spice, herbal, mild citrus zest. Taste of grains, light citrus, herbal and spicy yeast esters, peppery, dry and light bitter finish. Medium bodied.
Interesting pale, definitely get the Belgian inspiration, it's reminiscent of a saison or other farmhouse style pale. Generally not my thing but I can appreciate this.
Had previously written this brewery off due to not knowing the difference between Belgium/Belgian, yet supposedly being passionate about their beers. Glad I tried them though.

Lovely stuff. Smooth, toasted malty notes, caramel and soft toffee, mellow yeast expression, graham crackers, nips of earth, biscuit, nutty accents. A suggestion of orange peel. Highly, highly drinkable.
