Description
Ideal Day Family Brewery are focused on three things: family (it’s in the name), beer (also, kind of in the name) and regenerative agriculture (bet you didn’t see that one coming). We are based in the Tamar Valley in Cornwall which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our brewery is on Crocadon Farm near Saltash.

We make beers focused on where our ingredients, especially our grain, comes from and how it was farmed. Our brewing inspiration comes from Belgium farmhouse traditions, classic British beers and modern innovation. It’s what we love doing. We strive to create tasty beers while supporting farmers who are saving our soils and ecosystems with regenerative agriculture.

Cask at Kings Head, Bristol. Pours chestnut deep brown with beige foam. Toasty malts, nuts, some hedgerow. Medium body with soft carbonation. Solid.

Not bad. A little oily pine, faintly ripened citrus fruits, pale bread, nip of melon, oily rind, some dirty-grassy bitterness. Condition is OK but could be better. Nicely nuanced character. Very good.

Very good stuff, nice and roasty up front, burnt toast, some cocoa, a bit of burnt toffee sweetness on the back end. Velvety texture. Good depth of character. Moreish. Rounded dark malts, biscuits and crackers. Solid.

Super clean and dry. Ample sun-dried pale grains, biscuits, a nip of bitter dirty hay, earth, grass. Lively carb and massaging feel. Dry and. Utter finish. Tidy and lean. A grower.

I like this a lot. Lovely crunchy biscuits, grains, toasted malts, whole grain bread, mellow earthy-leafy hop character. Solid condition. Moreish. Nice depth for the ABV.

Frothy off white head on a murky deep golden coloured body.
Stone fruit & banana aroma.
Medium to full bodied, smooth & creamy with an almost chewy feel to it - clean in the back.
Stone fruit, orange, earthy & pale malt tastes with a long bitter finish.
Great stuff

Bottle from Hop Burns and Black. Pours a nice deep chocolate brown with a huge dimple pillowy tan head. Nose is enticing - roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, with pine and orange hop notes. Light-medium sweetness and pretty big bitterness that's balanced between roast and hops. Slightly astringent as a result. Mouthfeel is a bit prickly, medium body. Would prefer smoother carbonation. An interesting drink.

Sound. Nice depth of character, piney and earthy hops, a little English yeast expression maybe, florals, grass, dried citrus rind, sun-kissed malts. Some nice crunchy and nutty malt notes. Moreish, pleasant lingering bitterness.
