Shaker pint draft at The Bar in Mission, Kansas. The pour is a murky hazy orange with a foamy white head which is quite lasting. The aroma is orange, tangerine citrus along with soft grain. The taste is orange fruit, citrus soft peel, round clean cereal grain malt and a bit of pine towards the back. The palate is medium bodied, totally unfiltered, almost juice like mouth feel, super soft carbonation and a soft rounder orange tangerine fruit in finish.

Rating #5,000. 750 ml bottled purchased to go at Pathlight Brewing in Shawnee, Kansas. The pour is a clear lighter golden with a big foamy 4 inch white head that leaves behind splotchy lace. The aroma is clean, fresh soft citrus, hay and floral. The taste is soft tart citrus, the hay, a touch of husky grain, and a touch of phenolic - though that clears as the beer warms. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft active natural carbonation and a tart lime lemon floral finish. Fun, tasty beer.

Full (~10 oz) pour at Pathlight Brewing in Shawnee, Kansas. The pour is dark brown, slight golden red with a minimal tan head. The aroma is big, rich malt sweetness, caramel, the Bourbon and wood of the Barrel and a whisper of alcohol. The taste is big caramel up front, nice rich malt, then the bourbon barrel dries out the finish. The palate is still, heavy to medium bodied with the caramel sweet nicely transitioning to the wood and boozy Bourbon finish. This went down easy, nice Barley Wine.
