Can at home. Beautiful looking beer. Quite dark and puffy head, very inviting. Nose is licorice and chocolate and ash. Tastes of ashy campfire, licorice, caramel, pine bark, and malt. Slicker palate without the bite I thought of. Almost swarzbier like.

Can at home. Clearish gold and smaller head than I was expecting. Nose is sourdough and light forest. Tastes of crackers, peppery, leaf litter, bread, touch of lemon, hint of sour mash and herbs. Crisp palate.

Tip Tap draught, 4/8/23. Undeterminable clarity. Black. Dark beige head is medium, shows moderate to strong retention. Chocolate, cookies, light cola and licorice. Not much in the snappy hop or yeast category. Light minerality though and the malt smells clean and aromatic if maybe a bit sweet. Light, malty, chocolatey with moderate roast and sourdough. Good attenuation, maybe could use a touch more, though. And a little less dark/specialty malt. It's quite roasty and licoricey, to the point of dominating base malt, yeast and mostly non existent hops. Clean, though.
