Having fun making beer for all.

We started out life as a cuckoo brewery at the end of 2020 and throughout 2021.

We’ve now set up our own small batch independent brewery in Tollcross, Glasgow and continue to develop our core range alongside our one-off special seasonal range.

Bottle at home. Pours deep brown, nose is bready, caramel, raisin, taste is similar, fizzy.

Dark beer, thin off white head. Smells of spirits and dried fruit. Flavour has dried fruit again, rum, malt, some chocolate. Lots of boozy warmth in the finish. Very decent, very punchy.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of light sour, dark malt, red wine, cinnamon, mixed peel. Taste is chocolate, sour wine, spice, citrus. Weirdly tangy and sweet sour finish. Interesting stuff.

26/2/2022. Bottle shared with the ITFC boys at the Morecambe tasting. From 10 Beer Bottles, Wivenhoe. Pours almost black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits and berries. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily, average carbonation. Enjoyable

Bottle from Cork and Cask. Pours dark brown with no real head. Aromas of light balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, wine, brown malt. Taste is light sour, more soy, faint chocolate. Sour linger.

75cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep brown to black. Decent tan head. Nose - mincemeat and bread. Molasses and an edge of soy sauce. Taste - burnt wood, raisin but sour. Black olive qnd molasses. Palate - chewy and medium bodied. Lightly tart and woody finish. Dark chocolate and liquorice. Overall - really interesting, challenging but good!

Bottle from Cork and Cask. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of raisins, light spice, dark sugar, liquorice. Taste is smoky, malt loaf, spice. Slightly thin.
