Nestled on the banks of the River Ness, Uile-bheist (Scottish Gaelic for ‘monster’ pronounced Ewl-uh-Vesht). Represents our founder’s lifelong ambition of producing the best artisan whisky and beer in the heart of Inverness, Scotland. Being the first Distillery to grace Inverness in over a century, the Uile-bheist dream was built on the desire to blend traditional techniques with innovative methods.

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. New brewery tick. Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of shandy bass. Taste is light lemon and cereal. Thin finish.

Overall - supposed to be like a dry hopped helles, according to knowledgeable barman. Quite nice.

Nose - toffee, cake and general breadiness. An edge of leather
Taste - chewy treacle sponge and fudge. But drier, like brown bread toasted.
Palate - medium bodied, chunky and chewy middle. Dey roasty finish.
Overall - another challenging beer, but worth hanging in there.
