Bottle @ fonefan tasting. BBE 2017. Hazy amber with a white head with small floaties. Aroma is sweet, malty, oxidized and light sour berries. Flavor is quite sweet and slightly acidic. Dry and slightly acidic finish. 290917

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are sour bread, malt, wood, hops and cheese. Light sour finish.

Bottle, many thanks herrklemann! Hazy golden-orange color with creamy white head. Aroma is minty, herbal hops, a touch of bready malts. Taste is mints, herbal hops, bready. Medium carbonation, silky mouthfeel. Not bad !

33 cl bottle in Austrian restaurant Ottenthal in Berlin. Amber color, light hazy. Mostly white head, short retention. Aroma’s: sweet, bready malts, pear. Retronasal it’s bready malts, red fruit, sweet fruit (pear), light herbs. Flavor is light sweet. Medium bodied. Finish is a bit dry, resinous. OK.

Der Sud wurde mit Wacholder-Zweigen und -beeren aus den Bundesforsten des Salzburger Lungau gebraut. Die Partnerschaft zwischen den österreichischen Bundesforsten und dem Trumer Braumeister Axel Kiesbye gibt es schon länger und bringt immer wieder gute Tropfen hervor. So hat auch dieses Bier einen fein aromatischen Geschmack nach frischem Holz und Kräutern. Dies unterstreicht das vollmundige Aroma dieses schweren Bieres. Einen leichten Stich nach Gin bilde ich mir vielleicht nur ein. Auf jeden Fall ein ausgezeichnetes Bier.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Zürich. Aroma is musty and sweet with berries. Flavour has sweet berry juice, some malt and spices. Alcohol is present but does not disturb. A heller bock with berries?

Orange, hazy body, with a big, dissipating, frothy, off-white head.
Aroma of mint, citrus, lemon candy, flowers, spices, herbs.
Tastes similar, with a medium dryness.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes dry, medium bitter,
Nice one. Works very well, with the mint leading to even more freshness, but also a crisp dryness. Drinks really easy, while also very aromatic for the low ABV. Lovely stuff.
