330 ml bottle, no. 006813/18.000, cellared for 2 years.
Deep amber to copper, almost cloudy body, with a medium, fluffy, moderately lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of minty and menthol like spices, needles, wood, citrus candy, some honey.
Taste follows this pretty much, with some more grassy notes.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes spicy, sweet honey like, medium dry, slightly bitter, with some alcohol warmth
Very nice. Really interesting fresh spicy and wooden notes, with enough sweetness for a good balance. Alcohol is a bit there, but drinks good for the ABV. My favourite Waldbier so far.

330 ml bottle from Ammersin Centerstore.
Amber, hazy body, with a small, fluffy, off-white head.
Aroma of grains, bread, grass, sweet apples, some berries, honey, some spices.
Taste follwos this, with some alcohol and some sweet resinous notes.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, sweet, spicy, resinous, a bit hoppy.
Good, but nothing special. Apart from some resinous notes not so different to a common Bock beer. Definitely the most ordinary from the Waldbier range so far.

330ml bottle at Vienna Food Festival shared with gf. BB 12/18. smells resin, pines, sweetness, flowery, honey, light sweetness. Full body, light carbonation, full mouthfeel. Tastes oranges, marzipan, pines, light notes of green apples, sweetness, tobacco. Finishes with oranges and tobacco. Okish, has quite little taste for the ABV, also has some old hop notes. Not a fan. 6, 4, 6, 3, 12

bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Kornwestheim. Hazy golden wiht a small white head. Sticky malty start, hints of honey, slightly fruity. Where are the resiny and piney flavours I was so looking forward to....

Nice dark golden color with white head. Sweet boozy, muddy cellar aroma. Taste is sweet boozy, fruity, resinous, caramel. A bit yeasty. Thick mouthfeel. Not bad, quite intense.

Pours nice clear amber, not much head. Aroma has caramel, feels quite funky. Tree-resins are probably the reason for this. Taste has caramel, some creamy resins, not much hops. Scottish yeast character mingling with forest characters. Pretty nice one again from Kiesby’s.

Amber color, very little head. Sweet malty nose with some butterscotch and marmalade. Medium body that I was expecting to be much heavier. Very malty. Smooth. Slightly boozy. It is not bad, but doesn’t go anywhere special.

Thanks to TimE for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing slightly copper tinged, moderately filtered, showing no head. The nose shows a lot of sweet round malts. The palate shows a lot of carbonation and full bodied. Strong alcohol bite, slight whiskey flavors, and moderately sweet malts throughout.

Tap BKL. Number 1, the larch, the larch. The larch has a strong resinny nose, some sour notes in the body , dry fruity notes, a hint smoke, tripellike complexity, really interesting.
