Bottle at bkl. Initially a tad sour, then the resins open up and you get sap and Amber. Amber colour, lowish head. Interesting interplay between the tree aromatics and the kölsch which serves as base. A gimmick that actually works.

bottle at home, from trade with Saeglopur. Thanks Thomas. orange, very hazy/light cloudy color, small white head. quite sour smell, apple vinegar. full body, bubbly, sparkly, light sour, spices, apples, lots of carbonation, dry finish. quite different from the 2012 edition, not what I expected. a bit weird but I liked it.

750 ml bottle.
Orange, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, unstable, white head.
Aroma of spices, like cinnamon, various wooden notes, sweet malts.
Taste follows this prety much.
Quite light mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes spicy, a bit sweet, a bit wooden.

Interesting. Also had this fresh in 2012 and it was pretty different. The spicy and wooden notes seem to take over after aging, while the sweet malt notes were more dominant back then. Can’t say which version I prefer, both good, but not outstanding in my opinion.

Bottle. Aroma fruity, caramel, honey. Hazy orange colour. Taste is interesting, sweet, you can actually taste the forest in the beer, forest honey, some lightly tart woody elements. Good, enjoyable. Beer with a soul.

330 ml bottle from Ammersin 5, Vienna.
Dark golden, moderate hazy body, with a medium, frothy, white head, that dissipates quickly.
Aroma of smooth malts, herbs, pine wood, ripe fruits, some hops.
Taste follows this, with some alcohol.
Quite light, oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes alcoholic, astringent, with bitter herbs, dry pine wood, subtle hops.

Nice one. A bit too much alcohol presence for my liking, but otherwise a nice combination of smooth malts and pine wood, which works very well. Interesting brew.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien 2014. Pours hazy amber orange, with a bit of foam. Aroma is interesting, has pine needles in there - and later also in taste. Not coming from hops but the real thing. Overall taste is not too strong or radical but very enjoyable still. A bit out of balance and reminds me "koduõlu" - maybe the target was to brew something sahti-like?

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien 2014. Hazy brown, only a bit of foam. Aroma is slightly sweet and bitter, apple cider with alcohol. Taste is also bittersweet and you can really feel some pine needles - which makes it pretty interesting for me. Aftertaste is lingering, pressing more on sweet malts and caramel. Not bad at all - but in my opinion loses out to the tequila barrel version.
