Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien 2014. Pours hazy amber orange, with a bit of foam. Aroma is interesting, has pine needles in there - and later also in taste. Not coming from hops but the real thing. Overall taste is not too strong or radical but very enjoyable still. A bit out of balance and reminds me "koduõlu" - maybe the target was to brew something sahti-like?

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien 2014. Hazy brown, only a bit of foam. Aroma is slightly sweet and bitter, apple cider with alcohol. Taste is also bittersweet and you can really feel some pine needles - which makes it pretty interesting for me. Aftertaste is lingering, pressing more on sweet malts and caramel. Not bad at all - but in my opinion loses out to the tequila barrel version.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien 2014. Brownish, slightly hazy. No head. Aroma has some pine needles but is also sour at the same time. Taste is also sour but not overly so. You cannot really feel tequila as such but I guess that this dry sensation is coming form the barrel. Not too sweet, not too sour, just a right balance. Aftertaste is sour but also has some malt fruitiness. Me like it.

Hazy amber color. Very malty with refreshing pine nose. Malty, a touch sweet and cloying but not bad. Very malty, lots of pine. Decent stuff but not mind blowing. Would love to try tequila version.

Hand pumped at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Dark red to brown body, with almost no head. Light aroma of red berries, apricot, passion fruit, honey. Taste with about the same aromas, some more citrus and grass notes. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with almost no carbonation and it finishes bitter, fruity-sour. I don’t like much the very low carbonation (because of the hand pumping) in such a fruity beer. But otherwise it is really nice and with interesting, fresh aromas.

Craft bier fest, Vienna. Amber orange color with minimal white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, alcohol, wood. Strong sweet malty taste with honey, pine needles, apples, lemon, caramel, wood. Interesting.

Trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit geriner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, fruchtig, Blaubeeren. Geschmack malzig süß, fruchtig, holzig.

Bottle at Yespr’s. It pours golden-orange with small floaters and a minimal white head. The nose is soft fruits....pear, apple, nectarine and some parma violets. The taste is crisp, sweetish, stone fruit, candied peel, straw, hay and parma violets with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not a whole lot going on, but not too bad.

Bottle@yespr’s - amber pour with thin off-white head. Sweet fruity and yeasty aroma and taste, caramel malty, syrupy, pretty sweet overall.

getrunken im Frühling 2014 Dieses Bier ist nicht mit den Kiesbyes Waldbier Edition 2013 Lärche zu verwechseln, auch wenn der Sud der gleiche ist. Dieser Batch wurde in Tequilafässern gereift und hat daher fast mit mehr Aromen als das Ausgangsbier. Da auf der Homepage lange erklärt wird, welche Besonderheiten dieses Bier auszeichnen, will ich mich darüber nicht allzu lange aufhalten. Ich kann es nur als Konsument weiter empfehlen, da es ein wahres Feuerwerk an Geschmäckern ist, welches auch eine hervorstechende Säure nicht zerstören kann.
