Bottle. Amber, golden lace. Sourdough, Oxidized wooden aroma, nature notes. Pleasant sour, light hay, wood moss, mushroom umami, berries, light citric hops. Medium light body, mellow. Tart berry finish. Very interesting

Sampled from bottle at CBF Wien.
Amber-brown, moderate hazy body, with a small, creamy, yellowish head.
Aroma of caramel, dark bread, herbs, wood, resin, spices, apples.
Taste follows this, with some more honey.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium sweet, spicy, herbal, wooden, a bit fruity.
Nice one. Not really sour, but with interesting sweet and spicy aromas. Not my favourite one from the Waldbier range, while still enjoyable.

Bottle pour at Craft Bier Fest, Wien. Pours amber with white head. Fruity, herbal, grain, some caramel. Quite thin. Finishes bitter.

Clear medium amber colour, small frothy white head, diminishing quickly, light lacing. Aroma is malty, pine, light citrus, light sourish (resin?), herbal notes. Taste is medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, with average duration, dry, fruity and light resinous finish. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, pleasant but not that special.

Auch dieses Bier war ein Geschmackserlebnis. Wie andere Waldbiere hatte es auch die klassischen holzig-harzigen Waldaromen, die schön eingebettet in das recht süßlich-beerige Strong-Ale-Konstrukt passten. Hier kam ein bisschen der Geschmack nach gerösteten Pinienkernen dazu. Alles wunderbar balanciert und ausgewogen.

Hazy to cloudy medium amber colour, a lot of tiny bubbles, good foamy off-white head, half-way lasting. Aroma is fruity, apricot, lemon, pine, resinous. Taste is light heavy sweet, slightly apple sourish, short duration, retronasal fruits and pine. Light body, oily to sticky texture, lively carbonation, sweetness joined by a light bitter astringency in the finish, spicy and woody notes, also short duration. Taste and aftertaste sensations quite ephemeral which is a pity, having said this it’s still an interesting beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas. Cloudy golden. Aroma of overripe fruity esters, malt, honey, yeast, a bit of alcohol. Sweetish flavor, with honey, yeast, fruity esters, a sourish touch, and an alcoholic touch. Medium-bodied.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and slight herbal. Bitter, herbal, dry and slight spiced. Biter, dry and toasted malty finish.

Trübes dunkel orange goldenes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch floral hopfig, sehr malzig, hefig. Geschmack süß malzig, hefig, bananig, florale Aromen.
