Sampled from 0.75 l bottle at RBBSG 2016 in Evergem. Hazy, orangeish amber with a white head. Sourish-fruity aroma of some puke, rhubarb, grains, lemon and some oak. Sourish-fruity, fruity taste of peach, grains, some orange and grains, followed by a short, slightly tart finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Expected way more! Quite boring, not that tasty actually, very disappointing overall.

Sampled @ Ratebeer Belgian Summer Gathering 2016. Hazy orange color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, sourish grains. Meh, I don’t even want to finish my glass. Meh is being polite.

0.33 l bottle from ’biertraum.de’, best before December 2018. Clear, reddish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly herbal aroma of lots of toffee and vanilla, honey, sage, orange jam and apparently pine. Sweetish-malty, quite herbal taste of toffee, vanilla, orange jam, sage, pine and honey, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, herbal and a bit warming-alcoholic finish. Medium body, slightly oily and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very interesting, definitely worth a try, although I wouldn’t want to drink this on a regular basis.

75cl BB 04/2025, bottle # ?/3200, thanks to Pierre T. Paper wrap depicts an open wooden, foeder-coolship in a forest, not sure if this is how the beer came into being.

Bottle. Orange color with small white head. Aroma is lots of forest, caramel, raisins. Taste is lightly sour, resinous, caramel, forest floor. Medium and soft carbonation. Nicely balanced, not too sour, but interesting enough!

Bottle. Golden-orange color with eggshell head. Aroma is forest, caramel, resinous. Taste is the same, nicely balanced. High but soft carbonation. Nicely balanced, good, but I remember the Schwarzkiefer to be more "foresty"!
