Tap at the brewery - clear light amber - a couple large bubbles of lace - looks pretty much flat and feels pretty limp and lifeless in the mouth, as well - watery texture, lacking complexity, especially for the style - a clean, sort of character-less sweetness starts it off, followed by moderate bitterness, an odd mint leaf sort of flavor, and then a floral character that at times tastes medicinal, and other times tastes like scented soaps - the first beer I’ve had here that I would actually consider "bad."

Tap at the brewery - clear amber - must like their smoked golden, this is a fairly simplistic beer that seems designed to allow the cherrywood smoke to be showcased - the problem is that the cherrywood smoke lacks the heartiness, depth, and complexity of beechwood or oak, so the beer just turns out kind of boring - a little sweet, a little bitter, a little smoky - that’s it - not bad, just bland.

Tap at the brewery - an APA with all euro hops, focusing mostly on the noble hop character - malt character is simple, I assume to simply showcase the hops, which this does well - quite a bit of grassy and spicy saaz in here, along with some floral notes, and a mild citric tang - the malt, however, is a little limp and kind of sweet - not as crisp or snappy as it really ought to be to make these hops pop - okay.

On draught at Falling Rock. Brownish-black pour with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, hops and pine in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of roast malt, grapefruit and piney hops. The finish is malty up front with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Tap at the brewery - black pour - a hearty and rich porter - complex, sweet malt profile of chocolate, raisin, coffee, prune - some vanilla creamy sweetness through the middle is tempered by moderate acidity and bitterness from the darker malts, along with a bit of roast/char - lightly woody finish - well-made porter.

Tap at the brewery - I’ve been curious about this coffee before I even knew of this beer - Corvus Roasters in Denver apparently aged green coffee beans in bourbon barrels before roasting them - I am fairly certain it was just a gimmicky excuse for charging 30 bucks for 12 ounces of coffee beans (yes, that’s how much they’re charging) - anyway, from my experience with this beer, I’m pretty sure I don’t need to try the coffee - there is an odd sourness to it - not strong, but present enough to be distracting - bourbon flavor is minimally present - some sweet notes of vanilla - like their Sumatran coffee stout, the coffee covers up some of the more lively flavors of the base beer, leaving the overall product a little muddled - cool experiment, though...I guess.

Tap at the brewery - of the different coffee stout recipes on tap today, this was the standout - the process of hopping the coffee before adding it to the beer seems to have paid off for them - the bright fruity notes and mineral from the base beer are present - the acids from the coffee are vibrant and fruity, and the hop addition really makes that character pop even more - slightly sweet notes of vanilla round out the finish - this is the recipe you should keep, boys.

Tap at the brewery - there is not a major difference between this and the straight up session stout (I tried their different iterations of coffee stout side by side with the original) - the mild mineral, slight acidity, raisin, and dried cherry of the original are still present - the coffee itself is a little subdued and muddy/muddled, not really adding anything, but sort of getting in the way of the brighter flavors of the base beer - valiant effort, but I prefer the original.

Tap at the brewery - this is black IPA done right - this ain’t no hoppy stout - malts are dry, moderately roasty, lightly smoky and lightly acidic - the hop profile, both in flavor and bitterness, play off of this malt base really well - fruity, earthy, green, spicy - soft texture and medium body - excellent.

Tap at the brewery - a clean, balanced Scottish ale - rich, medium sweet, toasted bread maltiness throughout - a vibrant acidity and light mineral balance out the rich malt profile - light hazelnut and vanilla - nicely done.
