Panda courtesy of Theydon_Bois, cheers Colin (and Shawn!) New country rating #195. Golden colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of fruit, guava, pineapple. Taste is sweet, sugary, fruity, with guava & pineapple notes, and little acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, sweet finish. OK, just very sweet.

Panda at home, thanks to Shig, 18/10/25.
Clear golden with a thin head.
Nose is modest guava, herb, straw, grains.
Taste comprises sweet tropical fruit syrup, grass, herb, guava.
Light bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a sweet rinse.
Passable and some but maybe the best of the Saudi country ticks.

29/9/2025. Bottle shared by SHIG, cheers! Clear bright gold pour, small head. Aroma is sweet musty tropical fruits, fruit bubblegum, vague guava/pineapple. Very sweet and sugary taste. Musty dusty finish. So sweet. Hard to enjoy.

Panda, courtesy of @SHIG, pours with a crystal clear slightly dull gold colored body that supports a fairly thin ring of white bubbles. The aroma offers up an assault of peach like notes that range from dried peach to Kool-Aid peach. Wow. The taste offers up an experience that strays a little more into the freshly cut fruit realm than the nose led onto. I do get a couple slices of peach fruit bleeding into a more extract to dried Kool-Aid mix fake fruitiness. This would make a nice 12% abv panty peeler if one was so inclined to brew such a thing.

Panda, courtesy of @SHIG, pours with a crystal clear slightly dull gold colored body that supports a thin ring of white bubbles. The aroma offers up skittles candy like tropical fruitiness that's grounded in a faint sweet sugary malt character. The taste delivers similar candy like notes that I take are the guava and grapefruit but it's a little hard to discern. In the background there is a thin mesa of sugary sweet pale malts to this. Overall the fruitiness seemed to be a candy like extract or something that isn't real fresh cut fruit.

Bottle from Pita Inn, Naperville. Looks frightening, but I don't run across a chance to tick Saudi Arabia that much.
Hey, at least it's all-malt, but work added sugar. Some hop in the taste, so we have that. Pours fizzy barley pop yellow, looking more like a soda pop, with equally fuzzy head. Smell is just some faint barley pop, no hop detected. But, oh, there is some hop in the taste, so we have that. Still has the grainy, agricultural feel of any Malto Goya. Just like a Malto, it's pretty clear there was no fermentation involved, which I know would still leave 0.5% abv. Well, I knew what I was getting, so no regrets, and glad this is NOT my only choice.

I just couldn’t help myself.. A short layover in Jeddah and found this tick while visiting an impressive supermarket near my hotel. Drank from the bottle as the only equipment here is a coffee cup. The aroma is mostly pineapple and then the guava comes out more when I taste it. Pretty sweet but quite a fun soft drink.

I’ve kinda been dreading this one but it’s my last night in Jazan and it’s not coming with me. It’s red with no head and what a surprise smells like slightly artificial strawberries and malt. More malt than I would expect. It’s actually not terrible, but I still don’t really like it. It’s too sweet.

Can back at the Jazan hotel. Malty cardboard wort, a little metallic and with disturbingly weird carbonation.
