Description

Can from Beer52. I assume this is brewed under licence in the UK but no other brewer is listed and no mention of Beer52 on the can. 'From Chile to the world' - just go with it folks! Semi-hazy gold with small white top with nice lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, orange zest, slight piney resin. Quite a subdued pleasant taste although no off notes and some of that fruitiness and pine does come through. Nice soft mouthfeel for the strength. Decent.

On tap at Bar SPOH, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out champagne-like effervescence and crisp apple skins. Flavour is not as dry as expected for the style, with that champagne effervescence showcasing front-and-centre, along with crisp apple skins, and residual sweetness. Not bone dry, which is maybe its biggest fault; I want bone dry so that the champagne character really dominates. Still, very good brut cider.

On tap at Bar SPOH, pours black with a medium light brown head. Aroma is bitter, with plenty of espresso, medium roast, and bitter cocoa. Flavour is full of liquorice, bitter espresso, and roast. Lots of black liquorice and bitter espresso on the finish. A little harsh but nice pungent flavours and no pastry nonsense. Good.

On tap at Bar SPOH, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is somewhat chaotic, with piney hops, resinous hops, and sugars. Flavour is big and boozy but balanced, with lots of resinous hops, some pine, sugars and just enough sweet malt. A bit chaotic but it manages to hold everything together. Good stuff.

On tap at Bar SPOH, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma seems like it has traces of butter at first but maybe I'm hallucinating — there's pine, resins, and earthiness. Flavour has lots of bitter piney hops, resins, some sweatiness, and perhaps traces of butter. Butter or not, the hop expression could be slightly improved, but the structure is good.

On tap at Bar SPOH, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has notes of diacetyl, piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Clean the traces of butter up and you've have an excellent beer. Okay as is.

On tap Tamango Brebajes, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is gently hoppy, with subtle tropical notes, melony hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has a nice, bright, grassy hop character upfront, with gentle dankness, and crisp biscuity malt. Grassy, melony and vibrant. Very nice.
