Description
Founded in 1900, Cervezas Ambar is an independent Spanish brewery that maintains the spirit of a constantly evolving family enterprise. With 18 beer varieties, it has more specialities than any other brand. It continues to produce beer at the same brewery where it began operations in the early part of the last century, located in the historic San José neighbourhood. There they maintain the craft processes of the 20th century, with their own malting facility and the only open vat fermentation room still in use anywhere in Spain.

Dark golden color with a white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma has notes of cookies, with good maltiness and flowery hops. Flavor is slightly sweet, good maltiness, some caramel. Slightly bitterness in the final with medium to full body.

33cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell. A straw coloured pour with a billowing white head; corn syrup aroma; sweet corn syrup taste; and a light grassy bitterness. A typical mediterrainean lager - good in the sun.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear pale yellow, smallish white head. Simple aroma, pale malts, sweet bread, dusty grains, grass. The taste is just as simple - clean pale malt sweetness, followed by a pretty big grassy hop bitterness, everything dressed with that papery dusty sauce. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Would have made a decent lager if it wasn’t so papery and not called a "pale ale". Not bad, but certainly deceiving.

Botella 33 cl tomada varias veces la última en 2004. (r27). Lote L1 hasta 18-12-2005. Suave y sin mucho que decir salvo la aromatizacion leve alicorada que dice ser vodka. Se bebe como nada, tal vez original.
