Can from Beer52. Brown with a smear of beige head and a light but prickly fizz. Rich malt, cocoa nibs, wood, a little espresso, roasted nuts, a touch of white pepper. Semi-sweet with a nice full mouthfeel (let down slightly by the prickly fizz). Dryish finish. Very enjoyable, good first beer of the year.

Foundation is in love with lactose fruited sours for some reason? Does this taste like Hawaiian Punch? Well, sort of. Flavor has a sweet cherry base, light tropical hints, and a very mild tart finish. The lactose provides the creamy feel and really knocks back the sourness. This is a beer for people who don’t really like beer. (a huge trend in craft brewing right now). Overall, I really enjoyed this brewery over the years but I am tired of the abundance of lactose in their brews. I am taking a step back for now.

Aroma shows yeast, cracker pilsner malts, corn. Flavor has stable yeast fading into mild cracker malts. Slight note of honey. Palate is light bodied with steady carbonation and a yeast finish. Exactly what you would expect in the style.

Can with a stamp of “Triple the Fun” on the bottom. Aroma shows yogurt, cranberry, and sour raspberries. Flavor starts with mildly sweet berry and turns into a sharp tart sourness in the finish. Lots of lingering tartness. Why is there lactose sugar in this?? Even with the stupid lactose, Sourheafs will rejoice with this brew!

Aroma is a subtle version of the flavor. Mild vanilla, followed by light coconut, with a mildly sweet chocolate finish. Texture is of course creamy and feels larger than the gravity. Not overly sweet or sugary. Nice!

Booze, caramel, roast. Pours black with ok head and lacing. Not bad but nothing amazing here - probably too watery. Tangy finish. Bottle at Aslin 4th.

Flavor and aroma of the same. Guava fruit, pineapple, mango skin. This is sweet enough with just the fruit. Then they make it sweeter with milk sugar. Almost to sweet. The terrible trend of lactose in everything continues across craft beer.
