Draught at Brewer’s Fork, 10/23/15.
A whopping $11 for 13 ounces of a local IPA. Won’t be going back to Brewer’s Fork any time soon, that’s for sure. However, that’s neither here nor there. The beer is a rather hazy golden-copper color with a moderate amount of white head with moderate retention.
Green onion, tangerine, a big helping of malt lending a sugar cookie character and mixing with the hops to give off notes of pineapple and mango. With more warming, it grows quite piney/citrusy to the point where the more interesting notes are driven off. No alcohol nor flaw.
Quite malty and borderline sweet, though I suppose one could just write this off as "juiciness". Doughy, sedimented texture with moderate to moderately low carbonation. Pineapple, grapefruit and some leafy, earthy, dank notes, as noted, but also some monotonous pine and orange rind. Heavy acidity, borderline astringency build up on the finish. Some alcohol even. Really haven’t been wowed by Foundation’s hoppy offerings at all. They’re not bad, but they’re certainly mid-tier at best; just way too much acidity, a heavy-handed malt signature and dominated by pine and citrus. Would MUCH rather have a Wanderlust or an Eddy.

Craft Clapham. Route 66 event with most of the London crew. Can share by the Scopester - cheers Paul. Lightly hazy gold - orange beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Smooth malts bring medium creamy sweetness. Good piney hops with some hop skunk supporting. Touches of fresh orange and marmalade underneath. Tangerine and lemon in the light semi dry finish. Very nice.

Thanks to ElManana+1! Can sampled @ “Tim’s orgasmic Trillium tasting”. The design of this one looks really cheap, reminds me a bit of Carling & similar beers. Taste is top class. Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is huge grapefruit, zest, dried fruits, big bitter & fruity hops with a chunk of marmalade. Taste is sweetish caramel, marmalade, dried fruits followed by balanced bitter oranges & big pine resin. Malty but easy to drink body. Very nice beer. Best beer of the tasting for me.

Draught at Novare Res, 10/11/15.
Bright golden colored liquid is clear and highly carbonated with a large, foamy white head that slowly fades to cover.
Very tart, lactic nose has light vanilla, crackers, dry grain and tangerine-lemon-like citrus qualities. Almost smells gose-like, which I guess is not that surprising, though I’m not getting much that would relate this to a saison. Smells nothing like Eddy. Nonetheless, there are no flaws or alcohol.
In the mouth, the tart, acidic lactic acid is strong and dominates the balance, with light honey, grains and dry crackers seeming to be the extent of the malt presence. The beer is incredibly watery, even taking in to consideration the low abv/light nature of it. Extremely undermalted, with little more mouthfeel than a seltzer water. Tart/acidic notes linger on a bit too powerfully.

Can shared at Craft Beer Co. Clapham during Route CBC - London. Big thanks to Scoopey. Pours clear gold with a creamy, off-white head. Vibrant hop aroma, with buckets of tangerine, orange, grapefruit, all underscored with a base of pale malt. Medium sweet flavor with light pithy citrus, super juicy tangerine, peach, light grassy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Faintly resinous on the finish, with more peach and tangerine, some grapefruit, pale bready sugars. Excellent. This is a tremendous beer.
