12oz can, undated, drunk 9/16/23. Clear, deep maroon-mahogany. Smattering of tan bubbles. Ok, ok, wow, not too f-in shabby. Roast, char, maple, spice, bourbon, lead and such. No booze, lots of caramel-vanilla-chocolate but no overt lactose. A touch roasty, but the barrel is killer and the roast probably helps balance. Soft, sweet, rich, syrupy, charred and juicy with milky, sweet, vanilla and heavy lactose. Strong spice, maple and ash. Black licorice and such. Really wacky and interesting. Probably sweeter than you'd like but there is plentiful maple spice, bourbon spice, vanilla spice and drying alcohol. Sweet, syrupy, interesting. Charred.
Sweet, creamy, smooth. Maple, oak, chocolate. Nice barrel notes. Not sure I could drink 12oz solo.

16 oz can. Aroma of apricot, peach and papaya-like nuances. Flavor follows with a decent amount of juiciness. Zero bitterness and a decent representation of the style.

5 oz draft. Aroma of tart strawberries and vanilla. Flavor is a reflection. Balanced tartness and sweetness. I hate lactose but this isn’t bad.

16 oz can. Aroma has light stone fruits with decent citrus characteristics. Flavor follows and has a soft citrus peel bitterness. The texture shows some juice. Soft mouth feel and is a Prototypical for the style.

Brewery draught, 8/26/23. Lightly hazy, brass-pineapple. Small, white head to ring. Leafy, floral, sumptuous, green hops. Spicy. Assertive, with cracker and honey-like malt. Clean. Soft, juicy, almost smokey from the yeast? Very phenolic, with good attenuation and texture, somewhat loose carbonation and a pineapple-heavy finish.

16 oz. can. Aroma area match. Pear, peach, and a lasting tart lime finish. Weakest note of salinity. I have to say it’s simple and straightforward but it really works. Tasty.
