Description
In 1728, Aspall was founded by Clement Chevallier in the parish of Aspall, Suffolk. While all around him were growing cereals, he chose to plant apple trees. Almost 300 years on, we’re still going against the grain, making remarkable cyder & cyder vinegars at the original Aspall Cyder House.

500ml BBE in 22 months shared with my wife. Pale straw colour, tart apple aroma but understated. Low carbonation and medium body with a syrupy texture. Tart apple flavour, medium sweetness and slightly dry finish. A little better than the organic cyder version. Its nice but still lacks an added depth of flavour to take it to the next level.

500ml bottle BBE in 16 months. Pale gold, a little head which dissipates quickly. Sweet apple aroma, medium carbonation and body. A notable syrup texture on the palate. Taste of sweet apples and a distinctive dry finish. Nice but not as much depth as I was hoping.

330ml bottle from Waitrose Newport, Shropshire. Clear reddish amber appearance. Aroma of strawberry ice pops. Lightly oily palate, moderately sweet strawberry presence, light bodied verging on watery, thin carbonation, some rose notes. Kind of alright.. fair quencher after a 45 mile bike ride, but right now I need something with more bite.
