Description
In 1728, Aspall was founded by Clement Chevallier in the parish of Aspall, Suffolk. While all around him were growing cereals, he chose to plant apple trees. Almost 300 years on, we’re still going against the grain, making remarkable cyder & cyder vinegars at the original Aspall Cyder House.

[50cl bottle from a local offie.] A golden pour with a greenish tint; floral aroma; fresh, fragrant dessert apple taste; with a dry finish. Rather good.

Bottle @home. Gialla, limpida, brillante, schiuma evanescente a bolle grossolane. Al naso note di mela matura, pera, leggero etilico. In bocca è dolce, monodimensionale, succo di pera, non molto rustico. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Anonimo.

Bottle shared at home. Thanks to danlo! Clear pale straw with no head. Sweet red and tart green apples. Sweet and light acidic, with clean dry woody finish. Nice blend of French (sweet-ish, floral, distant herbal, barnyard, old wood) and UK (clean, sharp edged, ice cool, fresh) style aromas. Moderate sweet and bitter, tart. Medium body and soft carbonation. Easy drinker. Pleasant match with our cheesefondue dinner tonight. --- Beer merged from original tick of Harry Sparrow on 07 Jan 2020 at 19:16 - Score: 7. Keg at Merrist Wood Golf Course, Warplesdon. Musty apple peel aroma. Light gold. No head. The aroma suggests dryness but it's actually rather sweet with only a hint of bitterness. Light bodied. Thin. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. Slips down but so would Tizer.
