Description
In 1728, Aspall was founded by Clement Chevallier in the parish of Aspall, Suffolk. While all around him were growing cereals, he chose to plant apple trees. Almost 300 years on, we’re still going against the grain, making remarkable cyder & cyder vinegars at the original Aspall Cyder House.

Bottle from Náš Konzum Domažlice, Harvest 291. Clear golden body, no head. Fermented apple aroma, green apple, simple, clean, not much else, vaguely yeasty, light honey. Lean, dry taste, dry white wine meets apple cider, light honey. Definitely English (and even macro English cider) in the profile, but pleasant, good cider.

0.5 l bottle thanks to Marko who shared it with me. 291st special batch (harvest 291). Clear golden. Distinct sweet ripe apple aroma, hints of baked apple, cloves and other spices such as cinnamon. A soft touch of ripe stone fruit. A nice floral aroma expands in awhile. Moderate carbonation, soft texture. Crisp fresh apple flavour. Very sophisticated. Alcohol hidden. Some tannic tartness similar to an apple skin, might be a spicy element from the alcohol. Some lemony acidity in the back. Medium to full body. Moderately lasting dry finish. Warming.

Golden pour with quite a bit of carbonation. Tastes of apple, peach, and apricot after a bit of (pleasant) accidity at first. Nice one.
