Imperial Vanilla Coffee Porter from Ugly Duck Brewing Co

Pours pitch black with a medium light brown head. Aroma heavily dominated by roasted coffee and sweet, dark fruits, some chocolate, caramel and some vanilla. Taste is very roast-dominated with a good but faint, sweet (and bittersweet) vanilla-aftertaste. Quite a good porter - would’ve liked some more vanilla.

Bottle. Pours black with a thick brown head. Aromas of vanilla, slight roast, coffee, some sweet dark fruits. Taste is pretty vanilla up front, some coffee roast, dark chocolate, slight licorice. Dry bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a medium white head. Aromas of orange, funk, brett, horseblanket, slight citrus. Taste is sweet orange, slight grapefruit, brett, some tart citrussy notes, slightly malty.

Bottle at Studenterhuset. Pours hazy dark orange with a medium white head. Aromas of grassy hops, tropical fruits, citrus. Taste is pretty grassy hops up front, malty sweetness, slight tropical fruits, citrus.

Tap @ Fermentoren. Pours hazy orange with a medium white head. Aromas of grapefruit, hops, orange, citrus, light grass. Taste is pretty hoppy, fresh hops, grass, orange peel, citrus.

Bottle @ Studenterbaren. Pours hazy dark orange with a medium white head. Aromas of fresh hops, orange peel, lots of citrus, pineapple, malt. Taste is more malty, sweet, some hops, tropical fruits, grass, pine.

Bottle. Pours hazy light muddy orange with a medium white head. Aroma is bitter, hoppy, grainy, malty, some fresh citrus and orange peel. Not alot of classic Sauvin notes to it. Taste is malty, grainy, citrussy, bitter orange peel. Not very interesting at all.
