Founded in 2012 by Oscar Gutiérrez, a licensed brewer from the Chicago Siebel Institute, Falken Brewing Co. is an independent brewer located in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Under the “Gipsy Brewing” concept, without our own brewery and limited productions, we dedicate ourselves to materializing our passion for craft beer by producing various styles, with the most advanced process techniques, but always under the premise of quality and freshness, maintaining our own personality and character.

Orangish color with a white head, good retention with nice lacing. Aroma has notes of resin hops, bitter orange and grapefruit. Flavor with a decent bitterness, very fruity, resin notes. Bitterness in the final with good duration.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Na’ama’s place. Thanks Stas. Hazy golden with a white head. Slightly sourish aroma, yeasty, with a bit of lacto, fruitiness. Sourish flavor, yeasty, fruity, with a bitter finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Na’ama’s place. Thanks Stas. Hazy golden. Aroma of lacto, saltwater, a bit of smokiness, and a pickled vegetables note. Flavor is tart and slightly sweetish, with a bit of malt, lactic, salty, with some coriander. Light to medium-bodied.

Bottle @ La Vache Folle. Dark golden coloured with a wite head. Nose is citric, grapefruits. Flavour is fruity, hoppy, citrus and grapefruits. Fairly bitter.

Ambar, turbia, sucia. Espuma abundante pero muy jabonosa y que desaparece pronto. Aroma seco y terroso. En boca es bastante amarga y seca, con lúpulos que aportan carácter terroso y herbal y alguna nota frutal que recuerda melocotón. Diferente.

Ambar, turbia, no mucha espuma. El aroma es frutal, cítrico. En boca es seca, amarga, y de nuevo de predominio frutal, tropicales, aunque con base malteada y miel. Refrescante y ligera.

Bottle from More than Beer. Dark brown coloured with a beige head. Nose is caramel, liquorice, bit of pine. Flavour of caramel malts, bit toastyness and bread. Some citric and pine hops. Low-medium carbonation. Fairly bitter. Well balanced.

330 ml bottle at Bihotz Cafe, Bilbao. Clear amber color with off white head. Malty and light hoppy aroma, bread, caramel, butter notes, grass, light pine. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Botella 33 cl en la internacional Oviedo 19..10..2016. Lote 011687 hasta 2017. (r04). Color amarillento ámbar turbio con espuma blanca Aromas y sabores herbaceos algo citricos suaves ligeramente duraderos con final suave amargo herbaceo algo afrutado y seco. No está mal.

Caña en el IV summer beer festival Gijón 01..09..2016. (r03). Imperial stout sal cacao lactosa y naranja. Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro. Aromas y sabores maltosos algo tostados con toques dulces y bastante lectivos. toques de cacao y cafe. cuerpo medio a intenso 10 vol que le dan desde el principio aspecto de licor. Bastante buena, para repetir sin duda.
