12 oz. bottle, sent from TURDFERGUSON (thanks Sam), pours a deep dark amber / near-black with a small tan head. Nose is all coffee, with freshly brewed french press coffee, and not a whole lot else. Flavour brings out deep, dark roasted coffee beans, no roast or chocolate character in there, just the coffee. Light-to-medium bodied, as one would expect from a porter. A monolithic coffee bomb here, executed very well. Good for what it is.

Bottle. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a strong roasted malt note with a hint of coffee and a bit of bitter chocolate. Flavor starts a bit thin but grows to have a light coffee note supported by roasted malts and a hint of bitter chocolate.

2012 Vintage. Bomber. Thanks Secret Santa.
A - Poured a 3 finger fluffy white head that faded slowly leaving great lacing. sort of an amber ale looking beer.
S - I smells sugar and spices. Lots of nutmeg and a hint of maltiness
T - Taste is very sweet. Lots of brown sugar and nice essence of cloves and wintery Christmas spices. Finish is malty and bland.
M - light body and medium carb
O - This is a very drinkable beer. It’s a bit too sweet but solidly drinkable.

Aroma: The nose is fairly malty, with caramel, a little spice, and some earthy notes too
Appearance: It pours a clear bright red color with a small beige head and medium lace
Flavor: The flavor has a nice, not overpowering, sweetness and some balancing hop bitterness too
Palate: The body of this beer is medium, it is plenty drinkable, and has a clean, soft mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This is some solid stuff for sure. Nothing to go out of your way for, but it is plenty drinkable, and a solid example of the style.

on tap-tight tan-black. A-coffee grounds/roasty-dk malt with some bite. T-coffee/roasty-dk malt, 2nd earthy hops. Not my taste.

Lightly malty aroma with a nice layer of grass hops. Tingly mouthfeel. Flavor has lightly sweet toasted malts and earthy, floral hops. Lightly zesty finish. Easy going, refreshing, tasty.
