On nitro tap at Parallel 49, pours a completely clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma is of straw and not much else - pretty bland. Flavour is almost non-existent, with subtle notes of straw and biscuit. Not much too this. It drinks well enough and the nitro gives it a nice mouthfeel, but this seems extremely uninspired. Very bland.

650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy pink with little head. Aromas of... low tide (meaning rotten sea food) - yuck. Taste is simply awful - leather, clams, wheat, and straight white sugar. Drain pour. Horrid. Definitely not a normal Parallel 49 experience. Give me a Labatts Blue to take the taste away.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy salmon pink with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out sour cherries, quite a bit of wheat and a grassy funk - awesome nose. Flavour brings out lightly tart cherries, wheat and sort of a chlorine-like after taste. Weird finishing note with the chemically taste, but the initial flavours are quite nice. Doesn't seem quite as terrible as the consensus here suggests, but this is certainly off the mark.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy golden orangey yellow with a small off-white head. Aroma of strong banana esters, with loads of clove and wheat. Flavour brings out loads of refreshing banana, followed by clove and moderate wheat notes. Incredible amounts of banana in here, probably more than any hef I've had before. Wonderful flavours with a high potency. Great stuff.

650 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with light head and lots of carbonation. Aromas of cloves and dough. Flavors of bananas, wheat, corn syrup, light spice, and a bit of marmalade. Quite fruity. Quite nice.

Bottle. It pours a lightly hazy, golden color topped by a decent, white head. Rather fruity aroma, with some resemblance to hefeweizen, at least more on that side than on the saison side. Lacking the spicy, yeasty touch I love about saisons. The same goes for the flavor, and it’s definitely not attenuated enough. Rather sweet on the palate, medium body, and a nice level of carbonation. Fruity finish. Hoped for more, that’s for sure. 130703

On tap. Pours a clear gold with little head. Aromas of toasted malts. Flavours of malts and light yellow fruit. Creamy and full for a lager. Tasty but where are the hops?

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear mahogany brown with full beige head. Strong nutty aroma with roasted malt. Light, creamy texture flavoured with mild nuts and sweetness. Similar to a nut brown ale, but sweeter.

Awesome bottle. Pours black with super nice mocha head and some lacing. Thick texture. Booze and barrel in aroma. A little syrupy. Boozy bitter finish. Bottle.
