Bottle in Keystone - picked up in Denver. Pours hazy gold with a frothy, white head. Somewhat meaty hops in the nose, ripening citrus. Light-medium sweet flavour with some pale grains, ripe tangerine, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to avaerage carbonation. Finishes with hints of oily pine, more bready pale malts, hay, tangerine and melon. Not bad overall.

Bottle at RBSG. Medium depth brown pour with a thin brown head. Aroma is very sweet, sort of one-dimensional with the maple. Lighter body than the average stout. Tastes sweet? very sweet. Flavor of maple syrup and chocolate malts, some toffee too.

0.5 L bottle. Pours opaque black, with a good sized, fizzy, tan head. The aroma is dark roast coffee, lots of milk sugar, cocoa, and burnt caramel. Sweet and roasted, with a bit of bitterness. Heavy body, sticky, clingy, and hard. This is a pretty fair stout, but a little to roasty and harsh for my tastes.

Bottle - turbid light gold - nose of pepper and light plastic and cobweb phenolics, pear and banana esters - frothy texture - very dry, with a strong bitterness and moderately peppery phenolics, rosemary and sage - mild background pear sweetness cuts through near the finish before drying out again and leaving a strong, lingering bitterness - perhaps slightly too bitter at the end, but a solid rendition.

Bottle from Foothills Liquors. Malty IPA, almost close to an APA, malts dominate the hops. Amber pour with soft creamy head. Aroma leans on the malt bills, as does the taste. Not a hoppy IPA by any means. Yet, tasty in its own right. If you like English, this one’s for you.

Bottle, 7/16/2016. Pours black, with a medium, bubbly, dark tan head. The aroma is baker’s chocolate, and a ton of maple syrup. Notes of chicory, cloves, and toffee. Sweet and syrupy, with a light bitterness. Medium body, a little oily, syrupy, and watery. This is a pretty nice, sticky-sweet stout. Fun idea, and relatively well done. Could do with a heavier body, and a more balanced flavor.
