Description

Tap at WvhNLB2016 @ Grote Kerk, Den Haag. Cloudy caramel with creamy offwhite head. Max allergic hops. *sneeze*’*sneeze* Vegetal, caramel sweetness, some orange, ground bitter, old biscuits. Medium sweet medium bitter. Creamy, low carbonation. Vegetal bitter stale ending is a bit disappointing.

Draft at The Hague beer festival. Black with a medium brown head. Aroma is herbal at first developing into cinnamon, fruity chilli notes, dark chocolate, roast, coffee, caramel and fudge. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with a chilli burn (nothing crazy, but a little too much), a moderate thick texture and soft carbonation. Not a perfect balance, but still a great beer!

Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow color, medium to full sized white head. Aroma is malts, some hops, some smoke. Taste malts, lightly hops in the background, smoke. Smoke in the aroma becomes more and more dominant after the beer warms up. Medium body, firm and actually a bit annoying carbonation. Not my kind of beer, I don’t like the combination of smoke and IPA.
