Sampled from tap at NBF Delft 2016. Pitch black with a light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice and Kirschwasser. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some Kirschwasser, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, rather boozy finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, but too alcoholic, the least persuading of the three variants I’ve had.

On tap at NBF Delft 2016. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-fruity, slightly resiny aroma of caramel, orange jam, wort and some pine. Very sweet, moderately fruity and a little resiny taste of orange jam, caramel, some honey, wort and a bit of pine, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately resiny finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay.

On tap at NBF Delft 2016. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, chocolate and cinnamon. Sweet, malty, moderately roasty and quite spicy taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, lots of cinnamon and a bit of pepper, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly peppery finish. Medium to full body slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Well-balanced, tasty stuff.

On tap at NBF Delft 2016. Pitch black with a creamy, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, roasty and a little fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and orange. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty and fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, some licorice, a bit of hazelnut and lots of orange, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really nice, the orange matches well with the chocolaty flavours.

On tap at NBF Delft 2016. Hazy, dark golden amber with a beige head. Sourish-fruity, slightly funky aroma of caramel, peach, some oak and a bit of vinegar. Sourish-fruity, a bit sweetish and slightly funky taste of caramel, peach, some lemon, oak and a touch of vinegar, followed by a short, slightly tart and a little woody finish. Medium body, slightly spritzy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Cloudy light brown colour with big, soapy head. Plenty of caramel malts. Lots of bittersweet flavours. Thick and sticky.

Black with dark creamy head. Aroma has lots of dark malts and also some aniseed. The flavour is similar but with an abundance of bitter orange peel. A nice beer but the orange element is certainly not subtle.
