Description

Thank you for sharing Israeli Crew! Sampled draft @ BAF 2016. Black, solid creamy mocha head. Nose is mellow roast, lightly burned, roast with substantial sweetness, sweetness dominates with big mocha, cinnamon is quite big, touch too big. Taste is low chili, lightly vegetable chili, syrupy, molasses, herbal, chocolate, low roast, solid malts. Body is bitter molasses, nicely syrupy. Pretty solid but enjoyed it quite a bit less than the Vanilla version.

Thank you for sharing Israeli Crew! Sampled draft @ BAF 2016. Dark brown going to black, little head. Nose is thick grainy vauge molasses, bitter herbal syrup. Taste is strangely bitter, gravy, syrupy bitter grains, soapy, overly thick herbal sludge, cough medicine. Bitter herbal thick grainy syrupy body. No idea where they were going with this, quite far from what you would expect from an RIS, almost like a very subpar & messy Barley Wine. This one was a disappointment after trying their excellent Upgrade Vanilla.

Thank you for sharing Israeli Crew! Sampled draft @ BAF 2016. Black, super creamy mocha head. Nose is thick sweet mocha, chocolate, vanilla, sugar, milk chocolate. Taste is low bitterness upfront followed by thick creamy mocha, chocolate, subdued vanilla but clearly there, creamy, faint roasted malts, mocha ice cream. Very creamy mocha body. Very nice. Didn’t see this one coming at all given my experiences with my first 2 Kwartje beers.

Keg at The After Borefts Beer Festival, Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam, Sunday 25th September 2016. Pours black with a light beige rim, the chilli does offer a significant warmth, it’s a nice little burn, it lifts this beer a little compared to the vanilla version. Chilli and chocolate combine well here, steady burn and the otherwise flavours are somewhat sidetracked, not sure whether this is the chilli and cinnamon version as I thought it said just chilli but can see someone has rated it here so will add. Keg at The After Borefts Beer Festival, Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam, Sunday 25th September 2016. Pours black with a small tan head. Like the other Upgrade variants tried today this is quite a sticky beer. Plenty of coffee, however not overbearing in this respect, some sweetness with chocolate showing, roastiness and a little fresh green hop picked up,. Nice to meet Kermis today, well done on the milestone and a great beer for the 10k. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9

Wow what a shock this was. Poured a light pink colour with a fluffy pink head. This is so gay. Smells like a badgers ass after bad badger curry the night before. Clearly matured alongside a rancid Danish chopping board... the flavour reminded me of a long forgotten mouldy chilli cheeseburger that lay festering at the back of my fridge for a couple of weeks. It’s surprising what you can eat when you come home drunk! Clearly a bottom fermented beer... but not the right kind of bottom. One for the ladies. Best served with one of those little cocktail umbrellas. So gay that the only thing missing is a tutu wrapped around the glass. Kermis, Schermis.... whatever :-) Congratulations mate! A real milestone!

Sampled from tap at Kaapse BAF 2016. Big cheers to the man with the beard that just hit a crazy milestone! Cheers and enjoy! Opaque black with tan head. Deep roasted chocolate malts, coffee beans and vanilla. Light sweet and over medium roasty bitter. Over medium body with low carbonation. Dry feel with some vanilla smoothness and deep roasty bitter coffee finish.
