Sweet, full of fudge, vanilla, coffee, and a little caramel, backed up by almond, dark fruit, and a little roast. Finishes as sweet as it starts, with a saccharine bitterness in the fade. Not for me.

16 oz. can from Total Wine. Friday the 13th! Pours a pitch black color with a large tan head with excellent retention. Pretty good lacing too. Faint dark roasted malt and chocolate aroma. As advertised, all the flavors are there: Dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla and caramel. And then the heavy alcohol kicks in on the finish. The 9.4% ABV is overbearing. This would be so much better at 5-6% ABV. Medium body. Slick mouthfeel, and low carbonation and low bitterness. Sweet. Good flavors, but too strong.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy gold with an orange hue and a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has pineapple and sweet citrus with a bit of flora and sweet grains backing. Flavor has lots of pineapple with some sweet citrus and a sweet grain backbone.

Can from the dollar rack at JR's. Pour is big and black and it does smell like peanut butter. First taste is sweet and cloying, with lots of peanut butter in there. Not sure if I can pick out the chai. The alky content is not in yer face considering its over 6%. This beer is quite different, and I don't get the jib of many peanut butter beers and I would not buy another can, quite difficult to finish. Whew, I think I'd be better off with a mild IPA, heheheheh.
