Peach and pineapple jolly rancher nose, artificial but good and strong. Cloudy golden, thin head. Grapefruit, mango, peach, pineapple. Medium body, easy carbonation. Artificial flavorings or not, this was delicious.

Super crisp and golden coloured body with a very thin, pure white head that starts at only about a centimetre or so that fades fast and leaves just about nothing left after a few seconds. Aroma of strawberries, caster sugar, tart berries (perhaps the rhubarb?) and a heavy dose of lactose and creaminess noticeable with a dry bite. Light-bodied; Crisp tart berry flavour up front that shows blackberries, raspberries and tons of strawberries with a sweet bite from the fructose, but also a light dose of dry malts near the end. Aftertaste shows the wheatie, dry characteristics from the malts, some soft fruit-based sugars and the very well-structured tart and sour flavours from the berries (maybe rhubarb stalks as well) and a yeastie and bready bite near the end. Overall, a very nice, tart, soured and super fruity beer that hits all the right notes, remains quite light, but flavourful and shows a good complexity throughout, especially from the fruit and sweetness. Great to sample and my wife even liked it, which counts as something! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 24-October-2020 for US$4,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-January-2021.

Slightly hazed golden color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Lemon, berry and wheat in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of berry lemonade, wheat and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity cereal and malt. Decent overall.

Big pounder can for $3. Pour is big and black as well as large and in charge. Choco moose head goes craggy. Smell is same old same old imperial stout. No sign of candy cane on the olfactory. Definitely imperial stout but it has just enough impact to be peppermint. Not over the top, but you know its there. This stuff adds and extra dimension to strong imperial stout. Yes, its big and bold, as well as insulting, to the lager lover yet; it has a strange candy magic about it. Candy cane? Just asking. Maybe or not. More interesting than the typical impy stout? Maybe not but it never goes completely off the rails. At least it does have some co2 on the palate clear to the end, but just barely.

Very deep, perfectly clear amber, copper and strong bronze coloured body with a beautiful, three centimetre tall light brown head that fades slowly and leaves a nice oily glowy layer. Aroma of alcohol, pine, citrus, hay, metal, astringent medicinal notes, with a bit more nutty malts than expected, at least in the nose. Medium-bodied; Relatively rich malty, nutty and grassy malt notes that show at first with a very strong, sweet bite from grapefruit, pineapple, honey, resin and nuts with some astringency and medicinal notes that are quite strong, especially at the end. Aftertaste is robust, floral, grainy and quite sweet overall, with a good balance, but very strong flavours of both malt and hops, but also a lot of bitterness, sweetness and some grassiness, too. Overall, good and funky with tons of flavours, and while this doesn't seem Norwegian to me, it's a decent, slightly funky Imperial IPA option that doesn't fit the 'standards' of today and that in itself is a reason to try and find this one! Big white pounder can for 3 bucks. Clear pale pour with lively visible co2 making a bubbly white foam head. Nose is mild artificial strawberry. Taste is quite tart in a different kind of way, you know, like a higher alky content fruity malt beverage. Somewhat processed feel in the middle. Yes, quite a quantity in the pounder can session. The tartness and the bite tends to grow on me, and at the same time, the processed feel begins to fade near the finish. Sour tartness is a little uncivilized and forced in the end.

Can. A- Brandy, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Brandy, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- The brandy is very much the star but it's not a boozy all out flavor. It imparts a nice complexity although I do wish for more of the base beer. Some oak and cocoa. Good stuff and almost too easy too drink.
