Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. The beer is a dark reddish-amber color with a medium white head that burns away steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt and a touch of hops. Light-bodied with a biscuit malt character and notes of grassy hops. The finish is lightly bitter with an herbal hops aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with light head. Aromas of toasted malts, tobacco, and brown sugar. Malty sugary flavor with bitter finish.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Pale color; creamy head. The aroma is light, just some grass. Some malt flavor, less crispy than expected, not bad; with quite strong bitterness.
More Lager than Kölsch.

650 ml bottle. Pours almost red with a fine head. Aromas of malt and wood. Light roasted malt flavor with some spiciness and definite wooden barrel notes. A little light overall for a Belgian style ale even with the barrel aging.

On Tap. Pours a clear yellow with little head. Light hops and spice to the nose. Crisp. Light malts and ginger flavors. A bit of citrus and hops to finish. Ginger flavor is unique - maybe a bit to strong for this style.

Draft: advertised on tap list as a Belgian dubbel, however showed up a golden blonde. Aroma is fruity. Taste is fruit, grain, and hops. I added this as a Belgian ale, but they could have been trying for a Belgian style IPA.

#10! Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours very, very dark amber with a slight beige head. Nose has a bit of everything - spice, dark malt, chocolate, cinnamon, maybe anise. It brings Mexican chocolate to mind. Med body. Flavor is dark malt, with contributions of dark fruit, chocolate, anise and spices. Still think there’s cinnamon. It’s complex and interesting. Finishes on the dry side.

Bomber thanks to Brewdad. Pours a clear golden color with a thick white head that dissipates and leaves some lacing. A sweet nose of honey and some noble hops. Very smooth and tasty; sweet grains, honey, light bitter spicy hops, finishes bitter and dry. Super easygoing. Very good.

22 oz. bottle, pours clear straw yellow with a small white head. Aroma is quite funky, with corn, grass and hay - pretty weak. Flavour is quite piss watery, with straw, hay, corn - seems made with cheap adjuncts. Very bad.
