Tap at Oproer. Almost clear golden with no head. Sweet grains, apple, soft funk, a bit of peach, light smoke, pear, soft lactic notes, light herbs and seaweed. Under medium sweet and sour with a light salty finish. About medium bodied. Not too smoked luckily.

Tap at Oproer. Hazy golden with barely any head. Funk, indeed some pear but also peach, soft sulphur, light lactic, lemon, soft malts and alcohol. Almost medium sweet, light sour and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Decent.

Tap at Oproer. Clear amber with light beige head. Lots of spicy yeast, light sweat, soft funk, hay, orange, a hint of malts but this is mostly light fruity strong farmyard stuff. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with strong but creamy carbonation. Nice.

Tap at Oproer. Clear light golden with white head. Light grains, crisp malts, quite bready, gooseberries, quite some grassy fresh hops, dried lemon. Medium bitter and under medium sweet. Just medium bodied. Nice tasty bitter pils.

Bottle. Aroma of caramel, malt, raisin and oak. Taste has ripe malt, raisin, subtle bourbon, licorice and caramel. Little cardboard, bit oxidised. Not very good.

Russet-tan head, stable, over jet-black beer. Burnt nose with immediate signs of other grains; meatroast. Rather sweet with lots of roast/burnt flavours. Rust/ironoxide flavours too. Dry coffeebeans, precious little or no vanilla. Very creamy, velvety MF, oatmeal helping, but gains a much drier finish. Quite classical but good; 6/4/7/4/14

Bottle at home, from De Bierkonig, Amsterdam, 3rd April 18. Pours black a tan bubbly head on it. Aroma is liquor, barrel, wood. Taste is liquorice, treacle, peat, liquor, whiskey. Palate is a little thin for the ABV. Overall a nice one.

Hazy blond with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of fresh hop. Great that the sweetness of the malts stays throughout.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Max. Black, nice tan foam. Roast, chocolate, nuts, some coffee, sweet, a bit of soy sauce, bitter finish, medium to full-bodied.

Flesje gedeeld door Benzai. Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Aroma van koffie en karamel. Smaak van koffie en whisky. In de nasmaak voel je de alcohol maar dat is snel weg. Zacht van smaak en drinkt (te) makelijk weg.
