Sample from bottle at Wijnhuis Ede bierproeverij april 13, 2018. Color: Very dark ruby, beige head. Taste: Dark roasted malt and coffee fighting with flowery hop for victory. Turning out into a pretty good combination in which the hops just have the upper hand. Nice hybrid. Good balance.

On tap at Brewberry Bar Paris. Black beer lasting tan head. Good hoppy aroma. Light malts in mouth some lime flavour. Just don't see the point. It's not a stout and it's not an ipa. Not horrible but ultimately this style is not in my wheelhouse.

On tap at Brewberry Bar Paris. Hazy gold orange amber colour thin white head. Smoke aroma. Smoke cheese. Smoke and some peach in the mouth. Love the smoke. Just so well integrated. Some bitterness on the finish. Pretty good.

On tap at Brewberry Bar Paris. Hazy dark brown colour thin tan head. Some sweet barley wine character sweet caramel is pleasant. It's pretty good. Lovely sweet fudge flavour. Touch of blackcurrant fruit. Some sour hoppiness on the finish. Good.

On tap at Brewberry Bar Paris. Hazy amber colour lasting cream head. Some citrus hops pm aroma. Some pepper hop finish. Some bitterness. A little hollow in the malts. It's fine just lacks some body. Decent citrus to tropical hop flavour. OK.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 24 Feb 2018) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee and roasted oatmeal. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, black rye bread, roasted oatmeal and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, quite dry. Really tasty and well balanced. Solid imperial stout. Very nice.

Bottle at home. Bit hazy dark golden with small off white head. Strawberries, tea, caramel, peach, soft tropical fruit icecream, also quite dank weedy stuff going on. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Almost medium bodied with oily feel and nice mouthcoating carbonation. Quite nice!

At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly head, cloudy murky dark orange color, aroma bread, stale hops and plaster, mineral, strawberry jam flavor with some citrus, herbal onion bitterness. A bit old, tough.
