Bottle Bottle pours a hazy golden amber, with a persistant dense thin head. Lots of lacing that makes the glass look frosted. Huge fresh hop aroma. Sharp and citrusy, but also of detergent or harhs bathroom cleaner. The flavor is dominated by the hops, as it should I think, but they are again soapy and sharp. The sweet malts make a valiant effort but the big pine/citrus hoppiness is very strong and a bit chemical like. I like DIPAS but this one is a bit off.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a nice light tan head. Rich toffee malt aroma with a bit of grapefruit. Rich caramel flavor with grapefruit and pime. Medium-plus body. Decent bitterness. Lingering grapefruit, pine, lots of caramel, some earth, and fruit. Nice hoppy barleywine that hides alcohol.

Bottle. Ruby amber beer with a nice dark-cream colored head. Malty, light citrus aroma. Caramel malt flavor with light chocolate and citrus. Balanced, but chocolate and citrus clash a bit. Medium bodied. Lingering caramel, nuttiness, and light citrus.

Bottle. Hazy amber beer with a very small off-white head. Citrusy aroma. Citrus and sweet caramel flavor. Medium-light bodied. Lacking carbonation which would make this a much better beer. Lingering citrus, light pine, and caramel.

On tap at Boise Front Door. Pours out black with a little red. Topped with a nice tan head. A very good aroma of roast and a little smoke. Tast of more roast some brown sugar. A touch of bitter dark chocolate. Not to bad. I was thinking it was going to be a little thicker.

Bomber. One hoppy aroma backed by burnt and toasted malt. Could be some chocolate and medium dark fruit. Complex. Opaque brown/black color with only a couple of bubbles for head. Full bodied with an oily texture. Extremely mild, creamy carbonation. The flavor is hop citric over really darkly roasted malt. Plus fruit, chocolate, and coffee as it finishes. Plus I think there’s resin in this hop mix. It’s not really all that bitter, just really smooth. Course it really is bitter. Must be fairly well balanced. An experience not to be missed.

Bottled (Thanks omhper). Opaque black colour with small brown head. Aroma is roast, alcohol, fruits, yeast and hops. Flavour is very much the same with some mild vanilla, old coffee and salted licorice. Rather out of balance for my taste with all the sweetish sour stuff mixed into it.

Bottled. Extremely black, rich firm beige head. Lots of salty licorice up front. Sweet and soft, yet very powerful. Espresso meets tobacco, but salt licorice dominates. Aniseed and alcohol combines to a pleasant ouzo flavour. Citric hops chime in and gives it a real bite in the bitterness. I really like it!
