On tap at the EcoBrew Fest. Pours out a light brown topped with a sand head. Aroma of light malts, and some light citrus hops. Taste was more of the light citrus, a little sweet malts and a touch of bitterness.

Pitch black coloured body with a super dense tan head. Bottle and glass foam significantly after a bit of the bottle is poured - interesting and messy at the same time! Aroma of molasses, roasted malt, milk, cherries and a bunch of lactic and sour scents. Full-bodied; Assertive roasted malt and coffee flavours with bitter nuts and caramel behind. Aftertaste shows a lot of roasty flavours with some light hops, milk and chocolate as well. Overall a potent and well crafted beer. Perhaps too much sourness and egginess around the edges and not enough mellow flavours. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at Lee’s Discount Liquors in Las Vegas, Nevada on 07-February-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 25-June-2009.

Bottle: Amber with a huge, creamy beige head. Citrus and pine resin nose with a sweet toffee element. Some piney hops up front in the taste, but a sweeter, English IPA and toffee/malty thing going on in the tail. Some faded hops and some floral, lively hops. Warming and smooth. Nice.
