Bomber from Bottle Barn. Nose has light piney hops, raisins, caramel, and some light alcohol. Lightly hazy rusty-copper with a medium beige head. Flavor is light bitterness, caramel, and pine. Finish is light bitterness with a hint of caramel that fades after about 15 seconds. Like a souped up Bigfoot!

Comes via a generous trade from ditmier, you rock Eric! Pours deep darkness with nice mocha head. The aroma is black strap molasses, licorice, mild malts, a sense of alcohol and soft vague hoppiness. The taste starts with pine hop and grassy hop bitterness, a bit of resiny bitterness and followed by molasses. By midway these notes sort of flow into chocolate slowly turning into roasty malts. The finish has some pine hop bitterness and some modest roasty malt astringency hanging on into the after taste.

Pours copper with gold edges and off white head. The aroma is very nice with sweet malts that move to caramel and then some restrained resiny pine hops. The taste is smooth with malt sweetness bleeding into caramel notes and increasing pine hops. This is good stuff. I get lots of sweetness that plows more and more into modest pine hop bitterness. It ends with mild pine hanging on into the after taste. This is certainly not one of those BW that seems more like an IIPA. The hops are there but not there, there(?).

Bottle: Poured a deep black with a brown accented edges, head was tan. Aroma is hops which somewhat hide the coffee and roasted malt. Taste is coffe bean and malt, the hops seemed to blend well instead of over shadowing the stout experience. Rather delightful beer!

courtesy of ibrew2or3 pours black with beige head and light golden lacing. Aroma has an interesting hop profile followed by some roasted malts and coffee. Taste is malty, some coffee, chocolate with a more hoppy presence that doesn’t really alter the genre.Rather boozy with a nice spicy finish

FRO throwdown: Dark brown with a big tan head. Seriously big chocolate and coffee notes, and smooth as all get out.

Bottle (pretty fresh as they have only just restocked this after carrying the Hop Harvest edition). Pours with a largish bone colored, creamy white head that leaves lacing as it resides down. Hazy orangey-yellow body. Very, very strong lace. Aroma is nice and hopped, very fresh, mango, citrus and grass. A good amount of caramel too. A bit of vanilla and alcohol esters as well. Taste is very clean and not as hoppy as I would like. Alcohol and caramel come through first. A bit of pine and bitterness on the finish. Dry and clean. Not lingering. Good DIPA, but I could imagine that this would degrade quickly into a very "ho-hum" beer. Drink Fresh.

Deep hazy amber coloured body with a potent orange glow and a dense tan head - looks very nice. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus, pine, grapefruits and a bunch of malt. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong assertive hoppiness with fresh piney and citrusy hops tucked into a bunch of malt, sugars and a lot of alcohol. Aftertaste shows some character, with nuts and toffee coming through most. Overall, a good beer - more like a typical IPA than an Imperial, but still showing a lot of body and alcohol. I enjoyed this, but would have preferred a normal IPA more. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased on 07-February-2009 from Lee’s Discount Liquor in Las Vegas, Nevada, sampled on 28-February-2009 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
