2009 bottle thanks to BuckDich! Pours a murky light amber with a tall frothy off white head. Soapy hop aroma full of citrus peel and some pepper. Grapefruit comes forward as it warms. Wow, strong hop bitterness, sits right on top of a sweet carmel malt body. There is alot of pine and thick tasting hop notes of grapefruit and herbs. Ends dry, very nice contrast of sweet and bitter. I’m a fan, I’d love to try the original to compare what the fresh hops add.

11th August 2008. Low carbonation. Fairly sweet but in an aged sort of way. Hint of red fruit. Smooth malt and tannic hops at the end. Good but feels well aged!

Bottle, 9% ABV, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Deep golden colour, moderate head. Fairly nice aroma of American hops, also notes of crystal malts and some caramel. The flavour has a distinct hoppy bitterness from start to finish, alcohol is noticeable but the beer is not too sweet.

7th June 2008. Thick black stout with a foamy brown head. Silky smooth palate. An undertone of red fruit, cherry and raspberry. A dry bitter coffee finish puts a rough edge on it and seperates it from the very best Impy Stouts.

bottle, pours hazy amber with a medium off white head. Grapefruit and hop aroma. Nice sweet toasted malt and apricot flavor that finishes dry with a moderate hop presence that is nice and mellow. Carbonation is low and the mouth is creamy. Really nice. Thanks Jordan!
