12 oz. can, pours a deep dark brown with a beige tan head. Aroma is a bit rough and amateur, with notes of cola, gentle woody barrels, butterscotch, and toasted caramel. Flavour is similar, with soft barrels, butterscotch, cola, and toasted caramel. The barrel-aging doesn’t seem like it was near long enough, nor the base seem good enough. More convincing as a generic strong ale. Nothing wrong, just very underwhelming and lacking any sort of refinement.

On tap at Sebago - Scarborough, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of lacto, with yogurty notes, light coriander, and some saline. Flavour is a full-on yogurt bomb, with not much else. Not properly made.

On tap at Sebago - Scarborough, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has some sweaty, earthy hops, with bready malt, maybe a touch of pine. Flavour is identical, with a weird hop expression that reminds me of armpits, sadly. Not a good hop expression. Needs fixing.

On tap at Sebago - Scarborough, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of grapefruit, resinous hops, some pine, and bready malt. Flavour is definitely old school WC-like, with lots of grapefruit peel, resinous hops, light pine, and toasted bready malt. Very old school in the hop/malt balance without being overly bitter or crystal malt-forward. Good.

Canned 568ml.-from random shop in Portland. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, citrusy nose. Citrusy, herbal, juicy, touch of alcohol and bitterish sweetish finish. Easy-drinkable.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: copper color with a one and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy, piney and floral hops coiniciding with some caramel/toffee malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine bittersweet quality; finishes piney, floral and malty
Texture: medium bodied, leaning to being a sipper, some smoothness but also some hop assertiveness
Overall: not a bad DIPA, maybe again if available.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: light yellow in color with a slight transparency about it and a thin cap of a little white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: floral & herbal hop notes with a clean semi-bready malt base
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet and herbal quality; finishes floral, bready and slightly sweet
Texture: light bodied, sessionable, some smoothness with a light oily tone to it
Overall: yup, that oily note in the texture department tells me this is an Italian pilsener.

Pours amber with a thin frothy white head. Aroma of pine. Taste has hoppy resin. Palate has some wine must, more oaky elements, vaguely sickly sweet. Eh.

Bottled in Portland. Brown pour, nice toffee and malts and that about does it. Pretty decent.
