23/11/2024. Can courtesy of Painy’s exotic travels. 3.9% abv. Pours clear bright golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, grainy, malts, stewed fruits, cardboard. Taste is quite sweet, with grainy, raisin bread. Moderate body, average carbonation. Slight sour edge to finish. Not so good.

Panda thanks to Grumbo: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, bubblegum. Taste is bitter, grainy, citrus, mellows in the finish.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Amber gold colour, bubbly white head and aroma of malt, grain, fruit. Taste is sweetish, malty, musky, grainy, bread, with some flowery notes and light grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying metallic bitter finish. OK.

Aroma is sweet, malty, boozy, caramel, stewed fruits, veg, grains, metallic edge. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, a little rough. Medium body, oily sticky, average carbonation. Borderline park bench brew.

450ml can. Pours clear gold with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is malt, grain, minor hop. Taste is medium sweet and malty. Light bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not especially boozy, despite being a low-price strong lager from the former USSR.
