Description
Situated just off the West coast of Scotland the Isle of Arran is arguably one of the most beautiful and dramatic islands in Europe. The splendour and diversity of the landscape has led it to be considered by many as Scotland in miniature. Nestled between the islands largest mountain, Goatfell, and the imposing Brodick Castle lies Arran Brewery which has been brewing award winning craft beer for over two decades.
Opened in late March 2000. The 20BBL plant originated at the Tipsy Toad Townhouse.

Bottle from the Coop. Big citrusy nose, lemon candy, mandarin orange, biscuits. Somewhat wheaty. Deep gold, clear, with a tall head. Wheat, honey and biscuits, citrus flavor. Rather sweet, quite estery. Grassy, herbal hops with bitter finish. Quite well carbonated. Decent stuff.

Bottle from the brewery shop. Deep orange-brown with a tall, fine head. Tangy, fruity nose, treacle, caramel, citrus and grassy hops, pine. Rich, malty, piny, citrus. Malty and slightly estery in the UK style, but hopped in the US way. Not heavy. Nicely fruity, raisin, plums. Good.
