Description
Situated just off the West coast of Scotland the Isle of Arran is arguably one of the most beautiful and dramatic islands in Europe. The splendour and diversity of the landscape has led it to be considered by many as Scotland in miniature. Nestled between the islands largest mountain, Goatfell, and the imposing Brodick Castle lies Arran Brewery which has been brewing award winning craft beer for over two decades.

Medium gold body and modest foam. Okay sweet hops, slight honey and cracker. Taste is a mellow crackery honey, slight bitter finish with some crispness. Easy, nice and refreshing.

Bottle, gift from Tom. Clear brown/ruby body with a beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of tea, Worcester sauce and rust. Flavour of copper, weak coffee and cranberry. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Slightly sharp and metallic.

Bottle, gift from Tom. Clear deep golden body with a thick off-white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of honey, marzipan and earth. Flavour of fruit cake and toffee. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Subtle and traditional. It’s tasty.

Creamy white head left a spotty cover on a pale golden still body. Balanced aroma of make, caramel & fruity hops. Medium bodied, well carbonated & clean on the back. Malt forward tastes with fruity berry, light citrus & confectionery.

ABV: 5.5%. Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, perfume, light citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, fruity malt, pale malt, perfume - flowers, fruity - peach, light citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180809]
