Bottle from Vínbúðin
Dark amber color, clear; small head. The malt in the aroma is infinitesimal; wood. The mouthfeel is dry but smooth; some caramel flavor, but vulgar, uninteresting; regular bitterness but that leads to a metallic final; there are also traces of vegetables.
A boring Amber Ale.

Medium beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Earthy spicy syrupy aroma with toasted sugar notes. Dryish spicy perfumy licorice taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy spicy roasted sugar aftertaste with caramelly notes. Decent, easy to drink, not that special. (0.5l draft at 73, Reykjavik.)

Quite cloudy. Both the florals and intense sweetness of the German wheat and the orange peel are on display here in the aroma. Tasty, sweet but the orange peel lends a good balancing flavour and touch of bitterness.
