bottle from the brewery. Hazy golden colour, mid-sized creamy white head. Lovely and intensive aroma of resiny-grassy-citrusy hops. Full-bodied, intensive malty base that brilliantly supports the delicious aromatic hops: grassy, resiny, herbal with a citrusy touch. Complex yet highly drinkable. Another winner from this superb brewery.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and limited lacing. Aroma of sugar with very subtle floral aroma is disappointing. Taste is also a weird mix between extremely tired hops with too much residual sugar and some weird grainy caramel notes. Body is quite full with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Definitely not what I expected and definitely not enough of a hops profile to justify this experiment.

75cl Bottle at Sloshfest, 2012 version at 9% ABV. Hazy golden colour, off-white head. Aroma is quite hoppy, sweet malts, bread, citrus and grass. Flavour is sweet, bready malts, yeast, citrus and bubblegum, floral hops, bitter pine and grass finish. Medium-bodied. Nice stuff.

Getreidig hopfiger Beginn. 8/10/12/12/11/11

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #01/2012.
Aroma has fruity hops, some biscuits and caramel. Flavour has marshmallows, some fruity hops, resin, biscuits and hints of gooseberry bush. Also some strawberries and vanilla. Unique, something between DIPA and BW.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops with light fruity ester and solid caramel malt notes. Taste is a mix between some citrus hops with some solid caramel malt with light sweet toffee notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad though maybe a tad too sweet for my taste and lacking a bit of an hops punch.

33cl bottle fro Bierzwerg. 01/2012. Poured hazy amber with a thick, white head. Aroma is grapefruity, citrusy and light sweet. Flavor has citrus, floral and tropical fruityness. Quite sweet, but high drinkability. Bitter hoppy finish with fruitiness lingering long after. Not the freshest example I think, but still quite drinkable.

Pours amber with a large, lasting head.Nose shows a fair bit of caramel and bready malt, but also some grapefruit, spicy and herbal hops.Lovely malty flavours, lots of caramel, bready and biscuit-like malt. Some noble-esque hops follow along with a balancing mild bitterness.Great moderate carbonation and lightish body.Very drinkable stuff.

bottle. Clear, perhaps slightly hazy amber colour, large white head. Lovely hop aroma. Full-bodied malty base with loads of delicious hops with resiny and citrusy flavours. Full of flavour, full of character, very, very moreish beer. I’m curious to try the final version.

Bottle. It’s a clear, dark golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has some fruityness, as well as pale malts and a touch of something dusty. The flavor is mostly malty, with some fruityness and a pleasant little touch of bitterness. Dry and medium bodied, with a little bitterness in the end. It drinks easily, but it doesn’t impress in any way. 121110
