Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is faint citrus and maybe a little banana. Flavor is super citrus and tart with some sour apple. A different style of beer and not one that I would go looking to find all the time but it is a good summer refresher.

This hard to get in Germany bottle was kindly provided by DerDoppelbock. Milky yellow, low white blanket head. Acidic fresh, light citric aroma. Citrus buttermilk flavor, restrained tart, a hint of anisseed. Light body as it befits the style, sparkly mouthfeel. Dry cleansing finish with a slightly citric aftertaste. Very pleasant drink.

Bottle from Eaglefan538; Nose is wheaty like a hefe with a bit of light banana, and hints of citrus and tartness; very cloudy yellow with a blood red tint added and a medium yellow-tinged head; Flavor is reasonably tart, but not too much with some breadiness, and definate lemon.

RBSG 07. Light wheat aroma. Cloudy yellow appearance.Flavor is on the sour side, but not nearly as sour as the Fitgers Berliner. The sourness is on the light side, fairly refreshing. This beer has some typical wheat beer character with citrus and light banana. Very good.

Bottle (trade with mgumby). Lemon, milk and wheat malt aroma - very nice-makes my mouth water. Cloudy orange-yellow color with nice head intially but fades rather quickly. Initially a brief sweet orange/cherry flavor that quickly changes to a lIght lemon sour tartness well blended with wheat malt. Much less of a tart punch than either Berliner Kindl or Schulteiss that really pucker your mouth. A brilliant beer - definitely something to try. Added some waldmeister (sweet woodruff) syrup to the last few sips to see how it would do - blends very nicely but due to less sourness, the waldmeister takes a much more prominent role than with Berliner Kindl/Schultheiss where the tartness comes out more.

1 pint .9 fl oz bottle. Pour is a slightly cloudy yellow gold with some bubbles and a big white head slowly settling head. Aroma is initially wheat with some sweet fruitiness (cherries?). Taste is much brighter, tarter, and sweeter than I would have imagined. Taste is cherries, lime, lemon and finishing with a bit of wheat texture. This is my first beer of this style, and once I got over the shock of the taste, quite enjoyed it. A very tasty summer beer.

Very cloudy golden pour that seems to glow when held up to the light, with a large, foamy head that shrinks rapidly - moderately tart aroma, with copious citrus fruits, wheat malt, a tiny bit of earthy funk far in the back - very crisp, with tingly carbonation - a very clean tartness that borders on sour, but never quite crosses that border, remaining lemony and refreshingly tart throughout - mouthfeel becomes creamy after the carbonation calms down a bit, and a slight mineral character settles in - the tartness drops out in the finish, leaving behind wheat and other grains, light orange sweetness, a hint of breadiness - very light, tasty and refreshing, and probably a great "gateway" into the world of sour beer for the uninitiated.

500ml liter bottle. Poured into a wine glass with a huge head that fades into a thick surface covering lacing. Now this is a sight, the color is the most palest color and still cloudy. The beer contains so much light yet one cannot see through it. Aroma is pilsner-tart-lemon with a spicy refreshing wheatiness. Taste shines more so with the tartness. Starts off with light wheat, leads into a strong, sharp, acidic tartness and finishes lemon-y refreshing. Aftertaste is spicy wheat and kind of dry. The tartness is really nice and just gives a soft prick in the bottom of the throat. The carbonation is above average, the combination of the light body and the tartness with the lemon flavors makes this extremely refreshing an easy drinking. It reminds me a lot of a light and tart Belgian Wit. Very thirst quenching, returnable, and recommended. For a relatively fresh bottle there is a lot of schmutz.
