0.473 l can thanks to Marko who brought it from Prague. Shared with Ogi and him. Dark brown to black, small beige head. Aroma is licorice candy, star anise present, overwhelming, leaving only a roasty touch. Medium body, thick texture, sweet, toasty, roasty, some licorice, some sweetness. Alcohol hidden. No richness. Light finish.

Can from brother pictoman, shared with Ogivlado and Hrabren (huge thanks! Almost pitch black but mostly dark brown body, off-white head. Huge anise aroma, mixing with oily malty notes. Yeah, licorice and anise. Lean, dry taste, licorice, anice, roast and not much else, very watery, some dark malts help along though, interesting stuff , if flawed because of the dry bitter stuff.

Opaque and pale. Not much head. Big fruity, hoppy nose. On the palate, it’s dank, citrusy, nice melon notes as well. Excellent, although I may not know where the riesling is at.

Pale brown with a dull haze to it. Thin head. Aroma doesn’t seem to bring much. On the palate it’s got some sticky malts, mellow dark sugars, little bit of fruitiness. Relatively thin for the style. Ok effort but you can tell this isn’t a Belgian specialist brewery.

Pale amber-brown. Thick head. Aroma has some dark malt sweetness, toast, but maybe a touch of fruitiness that I’m less sold on. On the palate, yes, a lot of that yeastiness. Really detracts from what should be a clean beer.

Can. Amber-brown colour, sedimented. Thin head. On the nose, this has a lot of bourbon of course, rich malts and a big deep fruitiness I'd expect from Howe Sound. Mincemeat tart kind of stuff. Soft and smooth. Big body. Big alcohol, but the malts are gentle, the fruits are just as complex but lent some vanillin for roundness. The bourbon might dominate the nose but it's well-integrated on the palate. You know it's massive but at the same time, you want to drink on this. It would be dangerous if I wasn't at home with a can.

473 ml can. Pours a dull amber with huge head. Aromas of burnt sulphur, farmyard and soft wheat. Flavors of bubblegum, candied banana, pear and wheaty malts. Hits some Belgian notes but sweet and not very cohesive.

Clear gold body and minimal foam. Kind of a narrow apple juice aroma, seems odd since there's no apple here. Taste is a sweet fruity honey, soft wheat grainn maybe, finishing smootg with no sign of the alcohol. No complexity here but quite drinkable.

Mostly clear brown body and modest foam. Mellow plum and caramel aroma, soft hops too. Taste is nice biscuit, some bitter molasses, soft caramel. Ends smooth. Okay, drinkable but a little boring.

Hazy milky yellow and modest foam. Really nice melon, tangerine, lemon zest and grape must aroma. Taste is great melon, tangerine, finishing tangy with just a bit of chalk. Really well done, highly enjoyable.
