On tap at Devil’s Elbow with Mark. Very dark copper, tan head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malt. Very roasted and caramel taste. Roastex malt aftertaste. Very good.

On tap at Devil’s Elbow with Mark. Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma and taste lots of banana, spices, bready note. Very good Weizen bock.

On tap at Devil’s Elbow with Mark. Clear golden, white head. Aroma is lots of Kalamansi and taste. Too much of them. Hoppy, kalamansi aftertaste. Not good balanced.

On tap at St. Augustine’s. Pours a hazy copper with a tan head. Aroms is caramel, candied citruses. Taste is not very rich surprisingly, sweet with citrusy notes and hoppy bitterness. Malty, hoppy bitterness aftertaste. Good one though.

Dark amber,beige head.Light carmel malt nose.Vague malt palate with some out of place hop bitterness. Poor and no depth. Why bother ?

Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, some roasted malt and dark fruits notes. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, dark fruits, smokey notes. Tart, burnt malt, smoky, hoppy bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle - Lots of toffee and toast. Deep dark brown with a small light brown head. Toast, toffee with a touch of smoke and molasses. Dry finish.

2011 edition. A murky dark amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet dark fruity malt with loads of vinous notes, treacle, dark fruits, molasses, light oxidation, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, alcohol warmth, nice and smooth.

Bottle split at RB Best bottle share, 30/01/16. Hazed chestnut brown with a decent tan head. Nose is dark fruits, toffee, dates, spice, light plastic. Taste comprises bitter fruit, no plastic notes, sticky toffee pudding, biscuit, rich malt. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok barley wine.
